Laminating Methods Of Laminating Machines

1. Cold Lamination: This method involves applying a protective film to the surface of an image using a cold-pressing method at room temperature. It includes single-sided and double-sided lamination. Operation methods include manual and self-peeling lamination. Cold lamination is characterized by its simplicity, good results, and low cost. It is widely used in advertising light boxes, engineering drawings, and post-production of wedding photography.

2. Hot Lamination: This method involves mounting images using a special hot-film laminating machine heated to a specific temperature (approximately 100-180°C). It can be divided into single-sided and double-sided hot lamination. Due to its good light transmittance, water resistance, heat resistance, and hardness, it is suitable for post-production of advertising images that rely on lighting or other special conditions. However, hot lamination equipment and consumables are more expensive, the operation is more complex, energy consumption is higher, and costs are also higher.

3. Vacuum Lamination: This method uses a special vacuum laminating machine to create a vacuum between the film and the image, then sets the film at a specific temperature to complete the lamination process. Its operation is complex, costly, and the image size is somewhat limited, but the mounting quality is very high, the image texture is strong, and it is suitable for photographs.
